Space Inc.

Crowdfunding launch

October 27, 2018 | 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm

About the project

Space Inc. is an ongoing scientific documentary that explores the rise of the commercial space industry. Its aim is to educate and promote the democratization and sustainability of the commercial space industry as well as to debate its potential impact on humanity.  The film is co-produced by Julia Selman Ayetey, (Lawyer and Doctoral Candidate at the Institute of Air & Space Law, McGill University), Felipe Almeida (documental photographer and senior Ph.D. candidate at HEC Montreal in human behavior and consumerism), Andras Toth (cinema graduate of Concordia University and environmental researcher from Eötvös Loránd University), and Daniel Alvarez (McGill University alumni in Aviation Management, former aerospace intern at the International Civil Aviation Organization and a current graduate management student at the University of London, UK)

About the launch

During this event the filmmakers project a short video that will portray the narrative and the quality of the documentary we passionately are working on. The event has the intent to acquire funds to make of this documentary a global and multidisciplinary effort, giving voice to actors from both spacefaring and non-spacefaring nations. During the event, the filmmakers will also present the website and the social media platforms that will be used to promote the project.
