ANIMAL EN PARALLÈLE

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
I am not enthusiastic about animals. That was why I was very surprised when animals figures appeared in my work in 2004. However, the response was very simple when I observed well my current life : without my intention, there were lots of animals everywhere in my house, specially, after my son was born. Not only on toys and books, but on the cloths, shoes, dippers, bibs, bedclothes, plates, spoons... These drawings of animals printed well on my brain's memory, then my eyes, and my hands. Animals became my close friends in a way.
Then, the Japanese word Gizinhou
"personification", quickly came on my mind. Gizinhou is an attribute which describes represent something as a person' behavior. We all know that very well, because of our youthfulness full of story telling of animals who speaks and wears our cloths. We, human beings, use lots of animal characters under our senses, but still we don't understand them. However we still learn from them because they become a good reflection of ourselves.
