PATRICK LEBLANC

Following his studies in Visual Arts at UQAM, Patrick continued to develop his art over the years through various individual and collective exhibitions. His paintings, in a contemporary style, are inspired by complex emotions – isolation, daydreaming, escapism, memories, etc - generated by the unrestrained rhythm of today’s society.
The characters in his paintings, taken from childhood’s world, are witnesses to the ambivalence between the real and surreal world, an imaginary world where children take refuge. Although the artist imposes his personal view, the spectator can interpret the canvases according to his/her own personal experience.
