ABOUT THE ARTIST

Born in Drummondville in 1955 from a family of artists, this painter is autodidact with a figurative style. Since her beginnings in 1985, she uses acrylic. The luminosity and purity of the colours used represents her joy of living.

After a turning point in 2004, a signature of abstract and festive is revealed in all of her work. She is an environmental artist, depending on the location she captures the energy of the moment and bites pieces of life. The observer sees human, animal or organic silhouettes. The artist uses all her senses to offer sparkles of her passion and fire that resides inside her.

Sylca took part in solo and collective exhibitions, and some of her paintings are displayed in France, Italy and California.

The Universe of Sylca is an unusual world that reflects her imaginary and her soul.
